This and the following three pictures were taken on May 3, 2012, two days after the first set of lightning pictures I've posted on here. This time, I went out to the Papio Trail at 60th and Harrison Streets in Omaha and watched the storm roll in from the west.
This is a lightning storm captured around 2 a.m. on May 2, 2012. There were multiple lightning strikes for almost an hour! Taken from my garage (because I'm not dumb enough to actually step outside with a large metal tripod) with a tripod and 18-55 with ISO 500 on F8 with shutter speed of 50

This is a lightning storm captured around 1 a.m. on May 2, 2012. It's still a ways off, but makes for some wonderful effects against the sky! Taken from my garage with a tripod and 18-55 with ISO 500 on F8 with shutter speed of 50

Don't know what kind of butterfly this is. I photographed this during my inaugural test of my 70-300mm with a 7, 14, and 26mm extension tubes on at 15 feet. I wish I was at 5 feet. Not great, but not bad either.
