The light glowing on the underneath of the petals is from the nighttime illumination lights from the Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska.
This is a rose from a large bush on the side of my house, taken with my 50mm 1.4 with a 25mm macro tube (no AF) and my LED lens-mounted light. As you can see that even with an external light in sunlight, the DOF is still very tricky and thus, so is the trick of finding a focus point.
Don't know what kind of butterfly this is. I photographed this during my inaugural test of my 70-300mm with a 7, 14, and 26mm extension tubes on at 15 feet. I wish I was at 5 feet. Not great, but not bad either.
This was my first test of using the LED light in conjunction with one extension tube on my 50mm lens. I'm crouched over it as it's sitting on my treadmill.
I know, it's a fake flower, duh. This was my first test with using my lens-mounted LED light.
